Police intimidation?

What really happens when the police stops a woman and the woman whips out a camera to film them?

Can the police take your I.C. and not give it back? Were they threatening and intimidating me?

  1. Clearly, Pamela is trying to disseminate police-hatred propaganda.

Just because there were some crooks in police force who killed Kugan, Aminudin and received bribes, it doesn't mean that the whole police forces are bad.

Maybe this video will open our eyes, that it's time that the police and citizen work together to make this country peacefully and safely.

  2. It appears that there is indeed planning to be made by the woman. From what can be seen in this video she is the finest in the world of arrogance. He is like pouring oil into fire. The first question? Why does he want to record this while he was at fault. 2nd she is planning to worsen the image of the police and cheaper and to get sympathy from the public, but what if I saw this video I was very upset even though I am not a member of the police, I hope that these women a sense of law and the Malaysian police did not like me hope that his country that he emigrated bolleh feel happy and do not try to flush the bad blood. This stupid woman who tried to appoint his ego. He tried to point that he is smart with the law. Of course he will get the support of the nation,

What Do the main goal of this video was recorded

Why not follow the direction given

What is his privilege to write the book suit

Why do not wish to kebalai police when requested.

why post the video? What is its purpose?

  3. Paamela Lim, I usually don't have a good impression of our police force. But your actions changed my mind. I'd like to think of it as His majesty using you for His wonderful work.

  4. betul bangang punya orang, yang polis pun, saman, lepas tu belah lah, bangsa ni memang tak sedar diri, menunggu masa je untuk dihalau keluar dari tanah melayu ni.

  5. This is the perception that a lot of malays are beginning to have on chinese and other races in malaysia. This woman was under no intimidation yet for the sake of getting a 'sensational scoop' she did what she did. she was hoping that the two malay policemen would ask for bribe but when they did not, she try to intimidate them into a potentially explosive situation. its people like pamela that we have to thank driving malays into perkasa's hand. imagine if perkasa download this to their website. and pamela, stop being a racist.my 'generation'(same generation as yours) are not racist.

  6. Please do not simply jump into the bandwagon and accuse who is in the wrong.

There MIGHT be some incidents which provoked the lady to take out the camera and record it and more.

We cannot blame the police directly but I believe they could have done better to manage the situation better.

However, hopefully the authority will judge and look into it in a fair manner.

  7. Hi Pam, forget about it. Every new day is a fresh new beginning. May be we go for karaoke tonight and I will sing for you an Iban number `Patah Ka Lidi`. The song teaches us to be more respect to ourselves and to love others.

  8. Pamela,

The majority of policemen work hard in rain and shine, sometimes risking their lifes, to provide us with a relatively safe place to live and work. They may not be perfect, but I think they deserve some respect, and a little less attitude from you.

The policemen were provoked when you started taking a video of them. Unfortunately, they were not trained to react to such circumstance, and reacted to your provocation. They should have just issued you with a summons and left.

I have been stopped a few times by police, and i have found that being respectful, and apologetic (if we are in the wrong)helps – being provocative, rude and bitchy doesn't.

Loyar Burok – I think the title of this video should have been "Provocation of police – caught on video".

  9. That 2 guys appeared to be from the GOF (previously known as Police Field ):

    1. The uniforms and belts worn.

    2. the boots (with bottom of trousers tucked in)

    3. No Police badge with service numbers.

Normal general duties police / traffic police don't wear such uniforms.

Probably roped in for crime prevention duties.

On the video itself, quite enjoyable to watch !

Bottom line… the 2 uniformed guys doen't seem to know the procedures… simply unprofessional, discussing what to do next between themselves – 'cause they are not real traffic cops !

  10. kelakar video ne…betina tu tahu tak hak polis… walau pun ada hak ambil gambil tapi cuba ambil gambar dia tengan mandi..tentu dia marah.. mamang masing ada hak tapi nampak gaya betina tu cuba atau tidak faham apa dia buat. Nampak nya dia cuma nak menakutkan polis atau dia ni ada suatu muslihat perkauman….Nampak nya betina ne cuba nak jadi hero… dan berlakun heee… dia pandai nak panaskan polis sebab nak cuma cari kesalahan orang.

  11. if you are being difficult, they can bring you to the stations, and pamela is being difficult. What else to do if can't settle? Police station la, im only suprise tat they didnt take her in, maybe they weren't aware of their police right too…, if i were them, i sure take her in…even I also cannot tahan. Pamela wanna act smart, wrong place la sis…, so Pam, why not the nx time ard you go and throw rubbish and debate law with the MPPJ officer??? Get my drift?

hey man, we all loath the police for their biases, unprofessionalism one side act when comes to demo, politic, shooting kids, acting samseng and what have you, fine, granted but let's look at this case and jusge tis case by itself! Don't generalize.

  12. Handsfree device for hp means you can talk on the phone without the need to held the phone, both hands should be used to drive the car. They can stop you when you held the phone while driving. The police are duty bound to stop any driver holding a phone. The driver could

have cause an accident on the road.

Filming any individual and showing it on the you tube will certainly pissed people off. I for sure would be pissed off. Nobody like to be filmed and uploaded to the net without their permission. You can film them and probably use them in your defence at the court – boleh lah. You uploaded this to show the whole world, even I feel sorry for the 2 policeman. Not all in the police force are rotten. But the video will damage their image and reputation.

When they give you the saman, you don't have to sign. But I do view that the police are getting defensive when you are filming them, but after listening to what you said in the video, you could have been more courteous.

For years we have been living together in harmony, but just because of a few people gave racists remarks doesn't mean everyone in this country views the chinese as pendatang. I am a chinese, I have many malay friends and we know living together we need to 'bertolak ansur, saling menghormati antara satu dengan lain and berkerja sama for a better future.' Why raise this as an issue when you are stopped for not using the handsfree?

  13. okaayy..now the comments are getting downright ugly! :( I suggest you guys put it up on facebook, that way we know the comments come from real people with identity. Interesting opportunity for a social experiment here, cool Loyaburokkers! I believe this is good feedback for the PDRM too. please post it on PDRM facebook page, miss Pamela Lim.

  14. Hey guys be cool…

Remember the time Altantuya followed the policemen to the 'Balai' (and see what fate had befallen her)? Pamela was smart enough and was cautious enough not to repeat the same mistake. It was for her self-protection.

Furthermore, there is no prohibition by law for a public servant to be filmed and the police has NO RIGHTs at all to refuse being filmed in public (lest they start to use violence to hit you or smash your camera). Haven't we seen the PM and the so-called Yang Berhormats being happily filmed big time day-in-day-out? Has the PM and YBs ever complained? So why the double standard here? Therefore don't criticize Pamela for using her camera.

As for the saman, those accusing Pamela, on what grounds are you saying that she was scribbling? You only heard it from the policeman, right? The policeman willingly handed over the booklet to her in her domain. She might be signing a very large signature, possibly a very complicated one and with multiple strokes, possibly covering the entire page of the saman, nevertheless it was still a valid signature. Just the policeman disliked the signature did not make it a scribble, OK? Can anyone state any law in this land that states that a signature must be perfectly alligned and straight and not 'senget' a wee bit? Can any one of you sign with the perfect print-like quality? So don't judge so hastily.

Lesson from this video: I shall sign a Super Large and complicatedly dark signature the next time I receive a saman.

  15. The way i see it, the two policemen are not professional enough in executing their duties. What they should have done was "write down particulars required and hand over the summons and leave.period…They have no right to confiscate the ID Card and the DVR'S Licence of the lady.Police state… SEMUA BOLEHHHH!!

  16. I am sorry but your "approach" to wanting to show your disbelief of police hospitality is a no-brainer. I believe you probably came from the same village the police came from or even worst whereby you never completed high-school(problem with your upbringing). I believe you may think you do not "give a crap" to what people criticize you here because maybe you were brought up "arrogant" but please understand that if you wanted to do a "GOOD DEED" for us Malaysians, you should have filmed the camera discreetly and prove to us humbly your innocence and their wrong doing. It takes two to start and you added oil to the fire to make a complete fool of yourself, not only involving your image but the police and the Malaysian people. You do not stand for the "rakyat" because you were never made as a candidate to even represent us. There are other things out there that needs to be improved, but probably someone spat in your cup of tea in Starbucks, you take it out on this issue. I did not think you had stand up for the rights of the Malaysian people but to show disappointment and disgrace what Malaysia has become. I am sorry to say but if you are not proud to be living in this country with the system, then please accept the fact YOU do not belong here and migrate to let say "Australia". At least you do not have to use your effort to handle the basic law. (it takes time & education -> "COME ON!" we've only evolve in the past 50 years compared to any other country in the world from a developing nation fighting to be a developed country. For your information, don't compare to Singapore cause they have their focus of micromanagement equivalent to the size of Penang hypothetically). Let me put one more point here, using handphone in regards to having a wireless device hooked up to your uncivilized brain while driving disturbs the focus on the road. Even if you were not on-call with the device, you are intended to give 100% focus on the road cause you may as well have caused an accident with another good Malaysian Samaritan and you may have started a new blog/thread to how of an idiot he/she drove instead of this. Here's my 2 cents although it would not make any difference but allowing me to voice my frustration to idiots like this. Attention seeking and MEDIA WHORE!

  17. I showed this video to my BF who's a federal law enforcer in US, even he can't see where the intimidation comes from. He too thinks that you should have keep your cool and be more respectful to the policemen. It doesn't matter if they were not respectful to you. You can't fight fire with fire. Treat people like how you would want them to treat you. Arrogance wouldn't get you anywhere. Why do you have to insult them for not being able to speak English? I speak 6 different languages but I have never felt to be more superior than a person who speaks just a language.

I too have been stopped once by the police in Malaysia. I just talk to them nicely and admitted my mistakes and they just let me off with a warning. There's no need for provocation whatsoever. Diplomacy goes a long way.

Now people are thinking all of the policemen in Malaysia are bunch of lowlifes. There are among them who are honest, good men and women. By doing this what are you trying to prove? You can't even prove this to be intimidation in court. Nor can you use this video to prove that they are asking for bribes. You shouldn't have acted the way you acted and the policemen should have just given you the ticket and go so I guess both of you are in the wrong. But if you try do this in the States, you might land a night in the lock-up.

  18. You idiot kiasu no brainer women.u've created 2 offences here.one by not using the handsfree while drivng second scribble on govt property.you should not be a MALAYSIAN. GET OUT U!!

  19. Amoi nih gilo glamour apo.Kalu dio sain surat summon tu settle la semuo drama nih.tapi sebab dio raso dio nih jenih ngaji tinggi dio gi tulih komen atas surat saman.nampok gayo mace bangunan skoloh dio jah tinggi.

lagi satu, dio koya kecek english tapi sebenarnyo dio kecek cingrish.berani mum pandang hina ko bangso aku!mum tanyo gapo tuh intimidation.

  20. stupid really stupid….if your English is SO GOOD, why don't you just go to America or Australia..Don't come back to Malaysia..because we speak Malay Chinese and also English everyday! HERE we use multi language not single language lady! so you should respect people too.

  21. This women really acting like bitch n cocky. Please respect people no matter in which country. I understand that u mind think that u are well educated, but from this video i feel that u are the ONE who (cari pasal)/causing trouble .

    Trouble 1:

Being rude.Act like well educated n being cocky asshxxx.

    Trouble 2:

    Drawing d saman

    Trouble 3:

Take a camera to take a video.

    Trouble 4:

U are not entitle to drive slow to take some pic along d road coz it may caused danger to others…if u wish to take pic, take a bicycle or walk along d road…

  22. bdoh la pmpuan ni… dh wat slah lg mau ckap bnyk… krang ajaq plak tuh.. kalo dh duk d mlaysia, ikut la undang2 mlaysia… jgn la krang ajaq plak… bdoh pnya org… tak skolah k apa pmpuan nih.. bngong… prangai mcm org tak skolah jer…

  23. just sign the summon since youself admited you had break the traffic rules and end the arguement. WTF you go to "conteng" police's document? Really stupid and irritating woman.

  24. Scenario I:

"Minta maaf, tuan. Betul-betul sorry. Saya tengah tunggu panggilan penting tadi. Boleh bagi saya satu peluang lagi? Saya janji tak akan ulang kesilapan ini."

"Minta maaf lagi tuan, agama saya tak mengizinkan sebarang bentuk rasuah atau wang haram. Kalau tak boleh lepaskan saya, saya terima saja-lah saman ini. Saya mengaku kesalahan saya tidak menggunakan hands free."

"Terima kasih ya tuan. Minta maaf lagi sekali.."

    Scenario II:

"DO YOU KNOW ENGLISH? DO YOU KNOW WHAT INTIMIDATING MEANS? YOU ARE INTIMIDATING ME! I AM THE *** GENERATION OF *** AND YOU CAN CHECK THE HISTORY BOOKS IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE. I KNOW MY RIGHTS AS MALAYSIAN. YOU DON'T SCARE ME…."

So which scenario would have created a better Malaysia for all of us?

    Think hard about this.

And there's nothing wrong with chewing gum dear people.

  25. Hey Pamela,

I hate you because you are rude! Although you are good in English, but totally fails in civil senses! Please change your attitude, or else, move away from Malaysia. =)

  26. I think this lady is trying to create problem and should be arrested. Yes Malaysian police are famous for corruption but i dont see its in this video clip.Sorry lady you are the problem.

  27. "Your comment is awaiting moderation"??????????

i guess the author didnt expect getting people bashing her (where she expecting people supporting her) that let her 'control' posting.

  28. ala macam mana nak tuduh mereka bribe leong dia blum mintak lagi…

"seseorang itu tak bersalah selagi tak dibuktikan bersalah"..video ni tak tunjuk pun polis ni minta bribe walaupun kita selalu terkena tapi poyo video ini….dan video ini tunjuk pamela yang bersalah memprovoke polis ini …

  29. isnt it a norm thing in malaysia for uniformed officer to intimidate the rakyat..?? What is it we have not heard before..??

Pamela Lim… YOU ARE TOTALLY RIGHT…!! If you didnt stand up and make a stand. Most probably they would have asked for a bribe and isnt it common for malaysian police officer to do this..!!

It rots from the head…!!! This is malaysia and

MALAYSIA BOLIH..!!! and intimidation is part of malaysian enforcement authority to supress those who voice or stand up..!!

  30. lancau r pompuan ni..meh kangkang wa sodok guna cangkul skett..mcm goood je betina ni..

  31. hi pamela,

    haahahahahahaahahaha

    this is one funny video!!!

u must've been trying all your life to be an investigative journalist of sorts but failed miserably, hahahaha

" im so scared now…awww!!" haahahahahaha your acting really needs polishing, hahahahaahaha

  32. I guess from your act and spoken words in the video, you feel you have done no wrong.

From your long post, you still maintain you have done no wrong.

    Your ancestory is irrelevant.

Please do not patronise us by saying that your intent of posting the video is noble.

I guess you will never admit that you have done wrong. You have been and will always be a very disrespectful and stubborn person. You have been direspectful before and you refuse to see where you've wronged.

You've been in the salt water too long. I do advise you to examine yourself before someday life teaches you a very hard lesson.

  33. how do the police getting mat rempit to follow them to balai all this while if not for the fact that the police collect and kept all their IC with them. who are going to defend mat rempit's rights to hold on to their ic? one rule for all please.

  34. for once i never mention i agree for her to go to the police station, i just accept her scribbling is correct.

  35. WATCH carefully on the video, the police are scared once she pulled out the camera and start rolling, they are threaten and start to give the summon and ready to go. The the SCRIBBLE causes they to upset which is clearly her action of standing to her right becoming a provocation.

This is when they start to ask her to go to the police station. Please watch carefully before comment.

I believe before the video the policemen should be nasty to her (their standard routine), coming to you say nasty words on your breaking the traffic offense, indicating they can summon you and expecting you plead them to let you go lightly by KOPI.

She cant stand them and puled the camera.

I would say she has every right to do that to stand up against their manners.

BUT why SCRIBBLE on the summon when you clearly also know you break the law (which she clearly ADMIT in the video). This is an act of provocation which can be avoided.

She think she can scribble some words and they will scared of you that they will let you go without summon?

  36. I support what you have done. if you had follow them much worst would have happen…if they have a case against you its for the court to decide not for these viewers of your clip. Pray that they meet these arrogant bxxxards, then we see what they have to say

  37. Topi keledar pun tak pakai betul. Nak betulkan orang. Orang muda, darah panas lagi. Orang lama turun, tanya; awak tahu apa kesalahan awak ? dan bagi saman sahaja. tak cakap banyak. Yang cakap macam-macam, tak tahu mahu apa? orang muda kan? nak tunjuk terror…

  38. Shocking, rude, tangential, one-sided and unnecessary venomous racial comments. The issue is not about arrogance or intimidation. They are just perceptions. The video should be seen for the SERIOUS questions it raises:

1 How come a cop on duty doesn't display any PDRM insignia on the uniform or helmet?

2 Is it REALLY illegal to film anyone outside the privacy of the home? How about Karam Singh and all those journos? How about those surveillance tapes handed in as evidence in court regarding false insurance claims, unfaithful husbands? Anyone got sued/charged over the Mavi Marmara videos?

3 Is it REALLY illegal to refuse verbal invitation to the balai for undisclosed purpose?

3 Can cops legally withhold a genuine IC/licence?

4 If that summon was REALLY genuine, shouldn't they have immediately arrested her for conteng?

5 Cops are human too, but aren't each of them TRAINED to handle cocky, arrogant even verbally abusive road offenders before let loose on the streets?

8 In 2010, why is a Malaysian driver who is cool enough to shoot a cop at point blank with her handphone, yet is unable (unwilling?) to carry on a conversation with them in BM?

Wish someone could throw a light on these issues.

    SAM

  39. she did commit a traffic offense and the summon is what she deserve , why take the summon with resistant. This is where her standing to her right turn into a provocation. If she have sign quietly (as she did ADMIT she is at fault), i dont believe the policemen will not return her the IC.

  40. The way I see it, the police did try to harass her. Can't you guys see that they held on to her IC and "forced" her to go to the police station? If the police really felt that the woman did something wrong, just jot down her IC and radio for help to arrest her. Why must they "force" her to go to their teritorry?

At the end, the police returned the IC knowing that she would lodge a report saying that the police took her IC. If they were not wrong, why return the IC? Why not just keep the IC?

  41. These guys won't intimidate you if you just sign the summon accordingly. But when you start scribble on his book, than its an offence. Because you have just put graffiti on a government's property. Put it in such a way, you are good at manipulating these guys but not a very wise move, sweety ! The fact these guys do not wanna to cause you further trouble by returning your IC & Driver's License. The very fact they can land you in sort of deep shit if they want, but i presumed they would rather avoid typing tons of report on such incidents & cause them unnecessary work task.

By video recording them, in nature, they are much intimidated by you but where is it an offence or not will depends where they wanna put it in a game plan.

Now ! Being rude & trying to be a bitch by speaking english does not suffice in any offence but would land you lots of trouble. So the next stop, my advise is to be as nice as possible until these guys make their first move. Be smart !
