Citizen journalist LoyarBurokker Pamela Lim was stopped by the police while on the road. Unhappy with the their conduct she whipped out her phone and started video recording the two police officers. How did the police react? Watch it here @ LoyarBurok.com via our YouTube channel WayangLoyarBurok.

What really happens when the police stops a woman and the woman whips out a camera to film them?
Can the police take your I.C. and not give it back? Were they threatening and intimidating me?
Watch to find out and give your comments.

Dear Ms.Pamela,
In Malaysia, at least try to communicate from A-Z in Bahasa Malaysia, the national language especially when dealing with public servants, the process will become more quick & easier. Yes we all know from the video you were probably educated in harvard/oxford but these guys are definitely not. "Macam ayam & itik".
Action-
Harapan PERKASA akan membuat Laporan Polis Berhubung video ini.
bertujuan menjatuhkan maruah PDRM. dan bertujuan PERKAUMan.
PDRM has responded, good. even they are admitting their officers are making mistakes.
what about PAM?
If I was the cop , I would have arrested you. Cops would not stop you unless you have done something wrong. I use the same route everyday at about three times a day. I have never been stopped by a cop. I've been living there for at least 20 years now. I am sure you would have violated the law Pamela.
PAMELA is just playing the victim because she HAS THE PENDATANG mentality.
If not, she wouldnt raise the pendatang issue.
If you are rude, donbt blame others to scold you.
PAMELA, you are rude. When people asked you not to take pictures of them, you should just listen to what they request. IT IS THEIR RIGHT NOT TO BE FILMED!!
PAMELA thinks she is right. But from the video, she really is wrong.
Double wrong dont make it right.
Scribbling onn other people's office document. Bodoh ka you Pamela?
What if I scribble something on your report paper?
You like ah?
Loyar Burok, why are you condoning PAMELA's actions? Are you having PENDATANG mentality as well?
You made series of articles defending her now. You are equally rude.
Please approve this comment.
can you please delete my previous comment? reading https://www.loyarburok.com/the-system/bolehland/po… really makes me feel bad for what i've said. please forgive me for my shallow judgement. anyway you should have compiled your explanation on what happened beforehand in this same page to avoid misjudgment, just like what happened to me earlier.
the truth will prevail.
Statement PDRM
http://www.facebook.com/notes/polis-diraja-malays…
respect others the way you want to be respected. it's not that you can't disagree with them. i highly respect your rights to freedom of speech and good conducts, but practice your rights without violating others'. You don't have to scribble that ticket book. it was bought using rakyat money. now you're not just messing around with Rachmat and his partner but the entire nation especially the taxpayers! Also, even if you feel that it is of paramount importance to take their video, explain to them politely so they won't get the wrong idea. we Malaysians always portrayed police force as corrupt and ineffective. but why don't we show them some support, respect and gratitude when they're doing their job accordingly?
my final advice, stop turning yourself into a laughing stock. there's nothing to be proud of. Do you know what does it mean to be 'syok sendiri'?
Nonetheless, you deserve credit for the nice camera phone (is it?) you got there. The sounds and images are considerably clear. Plus it's quite entertaining to listen to your sexy, mengada-ngada voice and behavior (Man.. I wish I could see your facial expression at that instant.. Ouchh!!). I guess I can easily recognize those two policemen if our paths cross in the future. And last but not least, thank you for using the 'so called problematic and low quality' national car. Malaysia Boleh!
Not all policemen are bad.
The policemen even explained that she don't have to worry because we have law and can fight in court if we know we are right.
I agree that there are corrupt policemen, but not all are. The question is, do we need the Police in this country? Deffinitely yes. So, let us support the good policemen for doing their job, not by turning them or accuse them as the bad police.
Clearly Pam had committed a traffic offence.
Just sign it and get along. No need to scribble anything if you have ADMITTED that you are wrong in the first place.
She failed in acting… "I'm very scared now" ^_^
Let us all hope Malaysian becomes better and better by days.
Let us turn Malaysia into a better country, not making it worse!
Have a good day! :)
For those Anti Pamela, I only care one important point, police wait long time never give Saman, keep askig how! what does it mean? They try to bribe!! You taking about racist? As a police you no respect people, request people respect you? Use your brain.
pam….
indeed you did scare a little shit out of the 2 policemen….
but are you in the wrong??? boy…you are a tough cookie!!!1
thank you Pam, u just helped to prove that sometimes citizens can be a real idiots, just like u.
@Gordon
you obviously did not watch all the video of your america cops.
Many would make noise when crimes are committed and blame pdrm for not doing their job, for this instance when they are doing their job these people still blaming the pdrm.
why dont you guys join pdrm and do the job yourself and educate the police force how to be professional etc.
until now where is your police report pam ?
Danny LoHH and Kevin Tan,
Don't spin one big round of 'OK this…'..'but that…'.
Trust me, the police were 'nice' enough.
If was her uncooperative manners that got them to seize her IC and demand authoritative checks.
Just answers all the questions. YES or NO first.
I'm sure you can say YES to all of em.
Anyone watched America's COPS?
What did they do to uncooperative civilians?
"I'm sorry Madam, but if you're not going to answer my question, I have to take you with me". Handcuffed (OK, not as rough as TANGKAP TANGKAP!), but hey, still apply.
Stupid Chinese women…you are so..so.. make a provoke.
What is in your mind?
You just see police mistake, but you don't admited your mistake and then you started to provoke.
Please go to hell by yourself…otherwise I will kick you to hell.
You didn't bribe, so that's that correct action from you but why did you write something unnecessary on the saman? Why did you make the recording in the first place? If I were you, I will just take the saman and go away to save all these hassles.
Nobody is trying to be racist here but Pam I think you are the one who ignite the argument with the police. They also got the rights to stop you from recording, do you know that? Do you think recording is allow everywhere for every single event under the sun?
Conclusion, you are the one who ask for it, cari pasal.
What I think when I watch the video and read the comments here:
1. The police deserve more respect than what peoples always treat them.
2. It is our response that always determine the reaction of others. Anyone would be angry with the way or manner shown by the lady.
3. Isn't it unreasonable to expect a policeman of such level to be able to speak English? English is not prerequisite for the position to protect our security, let alone their level. So are we reasonable in our judgment?
4. Do not quarrel with the police even if you feel that you are not guilty. Just accept the summon and you have the right forum to challenge later. I think the RED BOOK implies this too.
5. Even if the allegation that the police offered to settle in other manner is correct (but this is not proven, and no way for the police to defend this), taking video on their face is intimidating them. If you are honest on your allegation, just accept the summon, take note of their identity, go to the police station and report the matter.
6. Try to lessen our prejudice. It is the prejudice that obscure reasonable manner and judgment.
Owh pamela, i love u so much! come n get pappa…noughtygal! oyeaahhhh…oyeaahhhhhh….pap! pap! where can i meet u my sweetheart?
pamela lim.
1. kenapa mesti record?
4. kenapa wujudnya polis diseluruh dunia?
polis.
actually i don't thinks there are a police, why that because of when i seen the uniform from then i can't find a match at all.
Let's be fair, the police are trying to do their job no doubt lack in professionalism. But ths lady is real bitchy, Shame on you, Pam!
My suggestion to those sending the negative responds to Pamela; let he/she who never bribe any police force cast the first stone…
Translated in bahasa: Oi puki! Korang pun same macam Pamela lar hawau!
I know the price of sugar is increasing and so is "kopi" at mamak stall. Police force seems to stop traffic offenders more often nowadays. Even more when cigarette prices has increased 70 cents now. Chances or coincidents? Or was it the time of the month to fill up the summon quota? No Sarjan around, so must be to minum kopi later.
Some claimed that these 2 policemen are stupid, bahlul, tak tau law. I dun blame them. I only blame those who allow these 2 jokers to excercise the power given to them. Maybe they lower down the passing line based from the ogive chart since many who ambitious to be a police force failed to meet the exam passing marks at Pulapol. If they can do it with SPM, why not within the police force? Thinking your child is smart? Think again…
At a ratio of 1:20 of police force towards Malaysian citizens, they need to do something. We can riot in this forsaken country so great that God can notice us from up there! Oh yeah, RELA will back the police force later. I sensed some power struggle in here…and it stinks.
The only offense i see Pamela did was talking with a slang. Fourth generation and a Malaysian speak in English with a slang in Malaysia!!! Who the fuck are you kidding with? Lived too long at oversea is it? Or is it a sense of higher pride or superiority? Imagine talking to your great grandpa Peter Lim that way. I bet he slap you with his trout. He helped to get rid of ang moh from here but u speak like ang moh. A classic oxymoron….or classic moron? Which ever lar…
It a noise, my dear…Maybe your snobbish gal friends may like it. Many detest of you due to your slang based on the first 30 seconds impression that you gave.
If u are a Caucasian i understand. If u are a Malaysian talking to a Caucasian with a slang, i understand. But if a Malaysian speaks English to another Malaysian with a slang at this homeland,i rest my case…. Please would you please, eat more humble pie. You're welcome !!!
p/s: To lee bang gang on 12 October: English motherfucker! Do you speak it? I have to swallow some aspirin after reading your comments. Ok, moving on.
“Reply to rbk on 10 October, 2010 at 7:08 pm
rbk, Pam was stationary all the time while using the phone. Why you could not see that.”
Pam ‘admitted’ in her very lengthy explanations in MT that she was not stationary but claimed she was on speaker mode. ‘A fan’ of her condemned the Malaysian cops for not being fluent in English & assumed that the cops got very poor academic result & F9 or failed for English subject during SPM. That is not the main issue here, furthermore they have already met the minimum academic requirement to join PDRM force.
Pam should just accept the summon & go to court to dispute it & even if she wish to speak in Mandarin before the magistrate there will be an interpreter who will translate to Bahasa Malaysia for her because Bahasa Malaysia is the national language for Malaysia. So there is nothing wrong if the Malaysian cops are not good in English. Don’t brand the whole PDRM force is bad just because you are not happy with some of them & similarly we don’t brand that all lawyers are crooks even some them were real crooks. Even in advanced countries like US there are good cops & bad cops.
Aiyohh…amoi, why so like dat one..?
Suda salah (itu polis juga mau kasi saman)…apahat amoi Pamela cakap manyak bising hohh?
Kalau suda salah, bikin cara orang salah lohh….
Nyangan sana sini cakap banyiak-banyiakkk.
Lu ingat polis ta bole angkat lu punya IC pigi balai ahh…?
Aiyohhh…amoi Pamela, lu misti mau insap punya.
Lu nyangan ini maciam.
Nanti lu punyiaa lumah kasi picah masuk sapa mau kasi tolong..?
MCA arr..?
Polis juga kasi tolong mahhhh.
Amoi Pamela..nyangan mara-mara hohh.
Lu misti kasi insap hohh.
Malaysia police not worth my 5 cents of trust. I am pretty sure they are looking for bribe but failed in the end.
jk :
"i cannot accept the fact that t=she trying to make scene and manipulate it to serve her purpose"
She was not making a scene. She was obviously feeling threatened. And police need to learn the SOP or have standardized uniforms, otherwise more misunderstanding or belief that some police are fake will occur. Why hasn't PDRM made any press statement yet?
To be fair, the policemen were just doing their job (although they could have been a bit professional in their approach). You could have just asked politely what your offence was and should you have a ground to dispute, sought a explanation from them. If they insisted on issuing a ticket, just take it and argue out in court if you felt aggrieved or unfairly treated. This unnecessary exchange could have been easily avoided although you know your right. It does no good to anyone. You got away this time but you may not be that lucky come another time. God bless you.
Allan Wong,
Is the word RIGHTEOUS?
Allan Wong : sad to see someone that know law and misused it. It's really worrying me the more educated one could be the more they try to use it to serve their purpose. Though the police was wrong in several way, i cannot accept the fact that t=she trying to make scene and manipulate it to serve her purpose…
Orang bodoh buat jenayah cepat kantoi. Orang pandai yang buat jenayah yang bahaya…
I am so glad to see everyone here is rational to let her know what`s her problem. Sad to accept the fact that our police in malaysia has poor english and do not know the law very well. By all means they have the right to bring her back to police station and get someone to tow the car. She have committed an offence to the law by writing on the Summon book. PAMELA LIM, just so you know… don`t disgrace us who know the human right and misuse it. The police has their right to, unfortunately for this 2 pity police they are being IN RETURN intimidating BY YOU!! They are not well train, they could have bring u back to the police station for any offence by all means. You are wrong because using your own wit as a weapon to attack these DUMB policeman doesn`t make you smarter than them. Your just a bully, basically you are offended by them stopping you and giving you a summon therefore you create a stupid scenario by pulling out your phone to record them hoping they would do wrong and you could get a chance to bite them. Honestly, YOU ARE WRONG with your attitude. You just hope that they would ask for a bribe or being rude so you could write a journal about how bad malaysian are.
****** OFF THE RECORD COMMENT*******
You think you are being so smart, yet… you`re just a bully. You think you are right but you are wrong in the first place. I feel disgrace having you as a malaysian, no offence and not trying not to be gentleman, after all you are still a girl. However, as a malaysian and this is a online public board, I HAVE MY RIGHT to write a comment and let you know that please, from now on, don`t influence other malaysian to be like you. Bully, racist, sensitive, ignorant & ( i don`t know what`s the word but don`t think you are so smart to use your right against ppl)
*P.S: Sorry for the bad english ( After all i`m still a malaysian) Saya boleh cakap bahasa melayu!! Woo hoo!!
iwantyoupamela on 12 October, 2010 at 5:51 pm
pamela you sound so hot, sexy, and naughty…i want you
HAHAHAHA careful iwantyoupamela later she will refer to the RED BOOK and sue you for INTIMIDATION of her MALAYSIAN RIGHTS
Pamela Lim, you are excruciating to listen to. You clearly are an ignorant fool from the beginning for not realizing your own faults, yet you dare to challenge others.
Please leave the country and dive to hell. You are embarrassing us Malaysians in the eyes of the rest of the world.
bodoh punya orang..speakerphone dgn handsfree pun tak tau beza..
lu mau marah???
marah laa..marah laa..marah laa
uhhh i'm scared now
Hi Pam,
We all appreciate what you were trying to do….that is to state your rights. It would help if you spoke in bahasa as I find as a malaysian chinese we need to be proud of our national language as well and also it help bridge the communication gap.
Maybe you cant speak malay then its excusable.
On the whole watching the video, the policemen did not behave too aggresively but maybe they need to be briefed by their superiors about reading the act/offence committed.
Yes we need more people to stand up and be counted and say No to police abuse of power but at the same time we must abide at all times by the law.
Take good care Pam and Thank you for sharing with us your experience. We all look forward to the day we have a truly professional force in Police, MACC,Judiciary and a Nation free of racism and corruption.
Ignore those jerks who are trying to put you down here, obviously and ya they still are being brainwash to succumbed to the lawlessness way of malaysia until they or one of their family members become a victim then probably they will be singing a different tune… BERSIH CEKAP AMANAH my ASS!
We need more like you to put Malaysia in the right perspective. Well done.
mother fucker u pamela,,,
Pamela Lim,
You speak in fluent English and sounds like a professional but … I really feel like spanking you !
* Firstly, you committed an offence so you must be responsible
for it
* Secondly, either they want a bribe or not, you still should
respect the police property, thus why not just sign and pay
the saman ? Why go and conteng the saman book ?
* Thirdly, you are obstructing the police in their law
enforcement in this case and since you destroy the property
of 'Diraja Malaysia', they have the right to arrest you.
Please go thru the video of yourself again. What kind of Malaysian are you ? or maybe you are better off in another country ?
Fyi,
There is a difference between agreeing and accepting that we do not live in a perfect world. Even in the greatest democracies in the world abuses by people in authority do occur. I am simply saying that when you commit a violation do not give them the opportunity to abuse their authority. In fact even if you are not in the wrong there is no need to be defiant and confrontational because it will only evoke a similar response. I am not sure whether you are objecting to the behaviour of these two policemen or the entire enforcement agency. Be wise, understand your own handicap and choose the right time and place to fight your battle otherwise victory will be forever elusive.
Good on you Pamela. You did the right thing. The cops were obviously very unprofessional. Why should anyone be upset about being videoed if they have nothing to hide? And you only did it when you the situation deteriorated. They should have given you the summon and got on with their job. One of them was losing his cool and that is not the way for a policeman to conduct himself. Make your police report and then send a copy of the video to the IGP and Selangor CPO. Also get your local MP to raise the issue. Is this how Malaysian police are trained to issue traffic summons? Those who think you were antagonistic miss the point. The public should never feel intimidated by the police and citizens should not feel they have to kow-tow to the police. The act of taking away your driver's licence and I/C is disgraceful, not to mention illegal, and asking you to follow them to the police station is a blatant act of abuse of power. In fact you did right by not complying unless you were placed under arrest. I hope all turns out ok and the police improve their conduct. Chewing gum and talking to a member of the public can't be part of police procedures. I hope these cops get hauled in and told to improve their conduct.
fairplay,
You are still agreeing to power abuse by our enforcer stating that "The sad fact of life is when you commit a violation of the law you expose yourself to this risk. Under the circumstances you shoud avoid being defiant and confrontational because they can use many methods within the law to make life miserable for you by stating that "
So indirectly you were saying we have to give in to the police if not they will give us a lot of trouble.Doesn't that sounds power abusing to u.
Cant u ppl realize that it is because of the ppl who give in easily and says no its not worth the trouble to go against police which makes them easily abusing their power. Because they think they are above the law that they can get u whenever they want.
Yes she did a mistake and she ask for summon. And seriously if we do not care the police will only become more ungrateful.
I will want to slap that Pamela girl on the face! Sounds so arrogant! Embarassing the whole country!!!!!!!!
pamela you sound so hot, sexy, and naughty…i want you
You are such an arrogant women with a such tiny brain placed on your knee. How about that?. From now on, dont get mad when people start to video you where ever you go, its our right, right?. Apa nak cakap lagi, perangai kebanyakan perempuan, dia langgar kita, kita dia maki.
Pamela,
you are an idiot. It is you who is trying to antagonize the policemen who are merely doing their work for something you did. You are such an ass!
Aiyoh, get off your misguided high-horse.. I am ashamed there are people like you.
Pam should not have been so confrontational. Still the PDRM officers should have been better trained. Too much chatting!
Just stopped the offender. Tell her the offence, take her Mykad/Licence details and issue summons.
Otherwise Onlooker might think he's soliciting a bribe.
PAMELA LIM,
Thanks for the idiot act that you've shown. Should I be that policeman.. i ask the triad gang to scare the hell out of you and when you asked policeman to help.. you can do the same, provoke them and record with the camera.
You are a BAD example of a citizen of MALAYSIA. You can't speak MALAY and calling yourself MALAYSIAN. BODOH! Ada hak konon! apa hak awak kalau cakap Melayu pun gagap!
The policeman I can forgive because even though they can't speak english very well, however they are Malaysian as they can speak and understood MALAY language. They are not in UK but in MALAYSIA..
Provoking someone is very impolite and rude as well. I guess you've been brought up from NIGERIA and came to Malaysia to reap wealth from Malaysian. AND you called yourself Malaysian with Malaysian rights.. HAHAHA!!
