  2. Write your literature review in an objective way. Identify useful documents and reference them. Then from your referenced document, locate and extract excerpts and build-up your arguments. Create codes from lists of excerpts and treat all your codes like objects with properties, e.g. variable type, gap, etc. and ensure you can trace them forwards or backwards. Return to your codes to revise and re-revise your argument exactly the way you need it. Layout and re-layout your codes in a mind map until your ideas are exhausted. Explain the argument behind each code or code collection. Conduct gap analyses on the codes and tag codes to be topic, issue or scope. Using a suitable modifier, develop original research questions based on gap variables. Show how and why you argue your ideas the way you do. With your mind map, explain the resulting structure and your literature review should fall in place. With such an objective method, it is possible to fall back on any aspect of the literature review and revise it – without a tear. writing a literature review
