The Bar Council Legal Aid Centre (Kuala Lumpur) will be hosting a Forum on “Child in Conflict with the Law: The Way Forward”. The forum aims to identify some of the main challenges faced when dealing with a child caught within the criminal justice system in Malaysia. The event attempts to explore the current legal, policy and operational framework when dealing with children caught within the criminal justice system, with focus on the social and psychological aspects and the concepts of diversion and restorative justice.
