The grounds of judgment of the Court of Appeal

The grounds of judgment, and a media summary, of the Kalimah Allah case decided by the Court of Appeal this morning (Monday, 14th October 2013) have already been published on the Judiciary’s website. Kudos to them for the speedy work, and to the judges for producing three individual grounds of judgment.

The High Court judgment was previously published by us, and is here.

In anticipation of the Judiciary website becoming overloaded, we have taken the liberty of uploding the articles here as well. Well worth a read.

The grounds are in the following links:-

If you feel inspired to write a commentary about the judgment, do send your article to us following the steps outlined here.

  1. Christian not even follow the 1st commandment tough by Jesus …. Read here from the Indon Bible: MARCUS 12 :

Catholic alcohol mereka even they don,t keep their 1st commandment & chose to go to hell .

  2. Of course, Ibrahim Ali disagrees: “Why should we be bothered … Don’t think that every Arab knows or understands Islam. That there is no one ignorant there.

  3. Saudi's Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah al-Sheik just last week said: “Who has given Muslims the liberty to copyright the name of Allah? It is His name, and He is the God of the universe, as He has said in the scriptures"

    Guess this says it all…..

  4. Considering that the word is Arabic in origin, and most of the ppl here don't speak, much less understand the language – can blow their horns as if they are 'experts' and it is their 'mother tongue'

    Hellooo…..

  5. Wonder why the follower of Christ in Malaysia still want to use Arabic translation of God, just for God.

Gunakanlah bahasa kebangsaan dalam alih bahasa.

    1. Sad that you do not even know the origins of our national language. It has so much influence from many other languages especially Arabic. I remember that in the 50's, our written language was even in Arabic Jawi script before changing for the Romanized form. If you must know, the Malay speaking Christians have been using the term "Allah Tuhan" in their Alkitab.

  6. Pity! Pity. They dont even have a proper name for their god. Must "borrow" from the Muslims. They are the confused lot.

    1. Hello. God is still god no matter how you choose to call him. Muslims also borrowed Allah as it has been used for centuries and predates Islam. pity pity yourself kelioputra

  7. Well what can I say, you Christians in East Malaysia have never treated your fellow Christian brothers in West Malaysia on equal terms because of your so called "Bumiputera" status. Fact is I was once refer to as a "Keling" by a Kadazan-Dusun guy who worships the same Jesus as I do and goes to a Roman Catholic church, during a trip to Kota Kinabalu.

Today the very same Malay pigs who are also Bumiputera are slowly sucking your rights way. First they make sure that Christian leaders such as Stephan Kalong and Donald Stephan are removed from power and replace with Muslim leaders. Then they bring in the hordes from Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistans and some of the Malay pigs from West Malaysia in large numbers into your territory to ensure that you will become the minority in your own land.

Well I can forsee one day in places like Penampang, a mosque will be build, alcohol will be ban and you will not be able to practice the free sex which you all are famous for (yes I know the many stories about girl getting sex before marriage and incest that takes place in areas such as Ranau etc.)

The best part none of your PBS and UPKO leaders have anything to say nor have they been supporting the Herald struggle all the while because of their selfishness to think that such issue will never creep into East Malaysia. Well mah man Zulkifli Nordin is gonna change all that.

Keep on fighting for your "Bumiputera" rights as for you that is more important than your faith in Jesus. You the Christian in East Malaysia are the biggest bigot for forgetting that God created all man the same. Well it doesn't matter, someday many of you will leave that faith for the sake of preserving your Special Rights.

  8. @jim,

Who is confused on which is the majority and which is the minority?

Sound like u intentionally include ALL Muslim M'sians as supporting the verdict of this appellate court!

    Is it?

  9. Hmm…I wonder
Why is it that nowadays when an issue seems to be resolved to what seems like the voice of the majority, it always falls ill with certain quarters…or am I the one who's in the wrong and confused on which is the majority and which is the minority?
In my opinion, the latter is true for some, although not me in any ways…di mana bumi dipijak, di situ langit dijunjung; understand this phrase and I guarantee you can find peace in whichever place you decide to give your allegiance to

p/s: English Medium of Educataion is always good, if the place is short of its own majority tongue :)

  10. Might as well Throw Out the Rukun Negara Belief in God and replace it Belief in God that UMNO Creates and Dictates how you belief…… + time to Revert back to English Medium of Educataion as too many Malay-English words used can Confuse many……and Lets start Agenda 2020….Migrate to Sabah- Sarawak……
