The Sex Worker’s Programme of Pink Triangle Foundation (PTF) is organizing a carnival called JOM KE CHOW KIT!
KL Legal Aid Centre and MyConstitution Committee will be there providing legal assistance on the issues affecting this community alongside other organizations who will be present such as WAO, AWAM, Malaysian AIDS Council, IKHLAS, Suhakam, Ministry of Health and Women’s Ministry (OoOoooo…)So if you wanna know more about the legal position of the marginalised community and anything of the Federal Constitution in Malaysia, do pay us a visit :)
PTF is an organisation that lends support to people living with HIV/AIDS, drug users, lesbians, gays, men who have sex with men, transsexuals and sex workers. The carnival is intended to promote awareness on HIV/AIDS, to stress the importance of respect and protection and ultimately to reduce the stigma of HIV/AIDS and really reeeaally Sex and Sexuality in general.
There’ll be fabulous performances on the night itself and alot of information on HIV/AIDS and other STD’s, materials on Human Rights you may want to catch hold of. There will also be a free HIV screening at the site! So if you’re craving for some true sense of diversity – come for this carnival and revel in nature’s delight!
