a.k.a.Malaysian Centre for Constitutionalism and Human Rights

After running a popular blawg of sharp and witty political commentaries, publishing the ONLY book about the Perak constitutional crisis, and selling lots of freedom-sized t-shirts, LoyarBurok takes its next bold step toward a better, bolder future for Malaysians. This Saturday, LoyarBurok launches PusatRakyatLB, its new home to gather, mobilise and empower its growing membership of Malaysians ready to win back the country for the rakyat. The launch, featuring singing and sharing by LoyarBurokkers plus a public consultation on voter education initiatives, serves also as a recruitment drive for more LoyarBurokkers.
Besides being LoyarBurok’s physical presence, the Bangsar Utama-based Centre, also known as the Malaysian Centre for Constitutionalism and Human Rights, aims to be:
- A central source of information for advocacy
- A platform for civil societies to engage Malaysians
- A centre for voter education initiatives
LoyarBurok’s new voter education initiative, UndiMalaysia, is mooted upon the principle that as voters, we should base our choices on core community and national issues which impact our daily lives rather than on party personalities or ad hoc election promises. Pusat Rakyat LB would like to inspire a new culture in which voters make wise, rational choices at the ballot box. As such, the Campaign will not be politically driven neither will it have any political agenda or influence, as it is purely meant to educate voters.
LoyarBurok, which started as a blawg by lawyers and law students contributing articles on constitutional and human rights issues, burst beyond the blogosphere during the post 2009 Perak constitutional crisis. Today, LoyarBurokkers number more than 200 members all across the country. Besides lawyers and law students, they now consist of social activists, environmentalists, a wildlife conservationist, a flash-mob coordinator, economists and more. Coming from all walks of life, LoyarBurokkers are independent and non-partisan, embracing and encouraging debate on all issues concerning everyday Malaysians.

Fine and well. Now if those 200 LBkers are ready – Ra-ra this PISANG centre in a CONCRETE ACTION manner, by positioning yourselves throughout *ALL* Malaysian constituencies not held by *offensive candidates* from either PR or BN and RUN FOR CANDIDACY with the below as their manifesto :
1) Freedom from Apartheid/Fascism
2) Freedom from Religious-Persecution/Religious-Supremacy.
3) Equality for all ethnicities and faiths in all aspects of policy, Law and Constitution.
I won't believe they don't have 15,000 each to run, and given the abusive rubbish that is BN and parts of PR, the people would be very happy to have another candidate to select in any 3 corner fight. *REMOVE* all bad candidates by running for candidacy in GE13!
Educating the voters also means ASKING them to run as candidates if they want to, to omit this ASKING them to run, PISANG immediatel;y identifies as a government spin machine. So act accordingly, or at least run for candidacy YOURSELVES.
(Anyone with antidote from vaccine-poisoning/GMO infection if possible? Just asking if not.)
