Johnny is a graphic designer-cum-cartoonist. He has been interested in art since his school days but unforeseen circumstances took him through various jobs - waiter, bartender, sales personnel, factory worker and forklift driver - before finding his true calling. In the 1990s, he started work as a graphic designer in various ad agencies and animation production houses. He found his niche in 2008, and since then he has been fighting for a better society through his sketches. He hopes to make a difference to the lives of young Malaysians, and raise the national consciousness regarding issues afflicting the poor, weak and marginalised in society.
