INVITATION TO A DISCUSSION ON LAPORAN RAKYAT

UndiMsia! and Centre for Public Policy studies, ASLI (CPPS) has launched the Laporan Rakyat (Report card) which provides the public a chance to say what they really think about their elected representatives.

In this context YKPM and Proham is hosting a discussion with UndiMsia! and CPPS on how NGOs can participate to assist by going to the ground and undertaking the ground feedback. This discussion will be held on Nov 29, 2011 (Tuesday) from 4.30 to 6.30pm at Sunway University, Sunway at one of the Professional Development (PD) rooms, Level 1, West Wing, North Building.

Tan Sri Navaratnam, the Chair of CPPS, will moderate the session and Mr. Edmund Bon has agreed to present the details of the Laporan Rakyat’s questions and methodology. We are awaiting confirmation from Ms. Ng Yeen Seen if she too can join us.

This session is open to NGOs and community groups to assist UndiMsia! and CPPS by sending their volunteers. YKPM, Proham & MIBA have planned a field visit at the Teluk Indah flats in Perai on Dec 4, 2011 from 11am to 4.30pm. A small team in working with community groups and we hope to use this Laporan Rakyat format. Other NGO could do similar ground data collection in areas where they are located.
